- Eat a highfibre diet, espcially fruit an vegetables.

 

- For some people spicy food can worsen the symptoms.

 

- Reduce coffee (even decaffeinated), soda and alcohol use.

 

- For some people chocolates and fatty foods can discomfort.

 

- Avoid eating late night snacks.

 

- Food containing flavnoids eg. apples, celery, cranberries, onions, garlic can inhibit growth of some bacteria causing stomach ulcers.

 

- Reduce use of anti-inflammatories.

 

- Quit smoking.
